Civic Gardens, Bunbury Western Australia
Client: City of Bunbury

The gardens associated with the Bunbury Municipal Council have been part of the local community since 1935.

Over the years there have been many modifications to the original gardens but only recently has more significant changes been necessary as part of the new Civic Offices.

Whilst working for the City of Bunbury Peter undertook, in association with specialist design consultants, the design of the landscape master plan and streetscape design linking the gardens, now known as Centenary Gardens with Stephen Street Civic Offices main entrance and the old Law Courts and Police Headquarters.  The gardens historically caters for such important events as the Mayor’s garden party, Australia Day celebrations and special dignitary occasions, as well as being an oasis in the heart of the CBD for the community and office workers.
