Whilst working with Hassell Peter undertook the landscape master plan for the proposed Three Waters Centre Cultural Precinct which focuses on the first stage incorporating a new visitors centre and interpretive landscape park.
The sketch design attempts to respect the natural landform where possible and recognises some of the sites former uses through an interpretive journey. Visual and physical links from land to ocean to cityscape to inlet are critical design elements in the landscape master planning.
Integration with the architectural form and function, its orientation, access and site placement have important influences on the landscape form and flow, vistas and screening, traffic and pedestrian movement, reinforcement of the natural environment, recognition of the cultural significance and meaning, and design of visual stimulation to attract the community and visitors.
